Day 5 - Wed, Jan 22: Puerto San Carlos to Cabo San Lucas

News flash - Tim went to get an X-ray and his foot is broken, 2 fractures. This was from his fall on Day 2 from Ensenada to the coast.  Damn - now we’re down to 3. Now we need to figure out how to get his bike back to the Bay Area.

The day started with breakfast at the hotel. The two dogs - Pinta and El Perro Sin Nombre joined us!  We left Puerto San Carlos about 8am. Our journey took us to La Paz where we searched for a tire for Tim’s bike (before we knew his foot was broken, or course). We went to 3 different places with no luck. Phone calls to Los Cabos we’re also unsuccessful. It doesn’t matter anymore since his ride is over. 

We stopped for lunch at a taco stand outside of La Paz. The food was very good, but not better than yesterday! Sadly we had to skip Todos Santos. We were behind schedule and my wife was already in town and Brad’s girlfriend was arriving around 3pm. So we made a beeline for our hotels. 

We have three nights here in Cabo San Lucas before we start our journey back!
