It’s now just 3 weeks until my departure to Columbia! All three motorcycles are in Dallas en route to Miami. From Miami they will be prepared for air freight to Bogotá. I will meet Shuli in Houston on our way. Sergio will be there waiting for us.
It’s kind of a weird time…the trip is right around the corner so you really can’t start much new. I’m basically making sure everything is ready for my extended absence. I think the last item is to pack my riding gear and clothes. Since I live where it gets cold, I’ve had to think ahead - make sure my wife can use the snow blower, get snow tires installed, turn on the pilot for the fireplace, etc, etc.
Speaking of clothes, this is something that I’ve worked on for quite some time. I want everything to dry quickly for washing in a hotel sink. Shirts and underwear are fairly easy to find that dry quickly. My preference for underwear is Go Buck Naked from Duluth Trading. Socks, on the other hand, have been my challenge. I discovered Drymax socks! These dry as quickly as my other quick-dry clothes.
