The DHL tracking status now shows my bike "scheduled for movement." I received confirmation that it will arrive early afternoon tomorrow on a cargo plane. Sergio's bike has been cleared by customs and our fingers are crossed that it arrives Saturday. I don't have any new news regarding Shuli's bike. Most likely it will arrive early next week and then we can begin our journey - 2 weeks late. This process and the waiting is tough...
We have basically run out of things to do while we wait... Today Shuli and I walked to the Unicentro Bogotá shopping mall. I was looking for a GoPro sticky mount since the one on my helmet broke during the trip here. No luck but we ate lunch at a Peruvian fast food cafe and Shuli was able to exchange some more money (US$100 for COL$440,000).
Guess where we had dinner? Yup, three days in a row at our new favorite restaurant Café Amarti. Shuli has now mastered the technique of twirling his fork to eat his pasta. That is a difficult task for someone who is more accustomed to using chopsticks.
Hopefully the tide is beginning to turn. My bike tomorrow, maybe Sergio's on Saturday and then Shuli's early next week. You can feel Sergio's despair in the photos at the bottom.
