I made it! Overall it was 7 weeks of travel covering 7,373 miles. That does not include the 2 weeks we spent waiting for our motorcycles in Bogotá.
The winds were howling when we left Rio Grande. It was the first day I used my electric jacket and glove liners. We even encountered a little snow crossing the mountain pass to Ushuaia. We made a stop at La Union for coffee and snacks. I got to watch them make alfajores!
A few days ago I developed a cough that quickly spread to Zivko and Albin. No surprise, since the theee of us often shared a room with three single beds. The cough started to impact me in Puerto Natales, but it wasn’t until the next day in Punta Arenas that I stopped at the pharmacy to get some vitamin C and zinc. When I arrived at Zuvko’s house I slept 3 hours in the afternoon and then 8 hours at night. I felt much better! Once we got to Ushuaia Albin developed a slight fever of 100F. An off day here should do the trick.
