La Paz is my favorite capital city so far. Yes, the traffic is crazy, the roads are in disrepair, and the outskirts of town are dirty just like the other capital cities Bogotá, Quito, and Lima. It is also the highest capital in the world at nearly 12,000 feet. But once in the center of town the vibe is different. There are foreign travelers everywhere. The city is vibrant with beautiful streets, vendors and restaurants. This also seems to be an adventure mecca with numerous hiking and biking activities nearby.
Shuli had his appointment with the Argentinian Consulate on Friday. Sergio and Shuli met with the consulate for an hour. They want some additional documents which must be provided Monday morning and hopefully Shuli will have his visa by the end of the day Monday.
La Paz built a cable car system called Mi Teleférico which opened in 2014. It is a brilliant system to move people throughout this crowded city of 2 million. The system has 10 lines and 26 stations. More crowded cities should have a system like this!
