Off to Puno - Shuli seems okay

The doctor recommended that Shuli go to a lower altitude, such as Arequipa, and wait a week for his body to fully recover. She said that he should take a bus and send the moto by truck. Furthermore, the doctor specifically said he should not go to Bolivia as it is even higher elevation. Shuli didn't like that idea and instead checked himself out of the hospital so that we could go to Machu Picchu with Sergio. I think his hospital stay was about $1800. The doctor left him with a pile of medicine, including 750mg per day of
Diamox for altitude sickness. Shuli seems to be doing fine upon his return from Machu Picchu. He is back to his normal eating and smoking.

I personally remain worried for him as we departed Cusco for Puno. Nonetheless, the ride was spectacular! Extremely high mountain valley filled with corn fields. The valley eventually changes from green fields of corn to brown fields of cattle and sheep grazing. At one point we spotted a PerĂº Rail train and chased it to the next crossing for some fun videos. The ride to Puno crested at about 13,500 feet before we settled on the lakefront of Lake Titicaca in Puno at 12,500 feet.

Shuli seems fine...
