South America just keeps getting better and better! As I’ve said before, I am grateful to be riding with these guys. Beginning in San Martín the landscape took a dramatic change - green, trees, everything is blooming yellow, red and purple. We rode through the 7 Lagos area with beautiful views on the lakes.
We stopped at one point to help a stranded motorist. Normally no one would stop for the risk of being robbed. But with six of us it is not a risk. Matias happened to have a 7mm wrench they needed to tighten the hose clamp on the radiator hose.
These guys live to enjoy their coffee — and their steak! We’ve now had giant platters of steak for more meals than I can count. The food is simple brilliant. And inexpensive in American terms.
We went to this place that Carlos knew around the corner from the hotel. The line was down the street waiting for the restaurant to open at 8pm. We finally sat down about 9:30pm and didn’t leave until almost midnight. Dinner here starts late and lasts forever.
