City of Angels

I bid farewell to RawHyde as I watched other groups heading out to Baja or Base Camp Alpha (Mojave desert). I feel both a sense of accomplishment and an excitement to return. I’ll sum up the entire trip after I get home.

After breakfast Monday morning, I got the bike all ready for my next journey to visit my son in LA and then Tuesday start the long slab trek back to Bend. I took the best route I could find so that I could enjoy some miles on the Pacific Coast Highway. I met Mike at Gladstones in Pacific Palisades. I got to see his new apartment and his roommates. I know his three roommates as they all went to high school together. I’m proud of my son and the path he is carving for his life!

It’s now 4:45am Tuesday morning and it’s time to get dressed and attempt to avoid the LA traffic and head north.
