Heading home

Today was 542 miles from Culver City to Redding. Yes, my butt is sore and this would be better on my R1200RT with the Russell seat, but that’s not the bike I needed for this trip.

The day started before sunrise; at 5:15am it was colder than expected and the marine layer was thick. I’ll blame those factors on taking I-405 South instead of I-405 North at the I-10 junction. Fortunately it caused only a minor delay.

My lunch stop was at one of my favorites - In N Out! The usual: single cheese, animal style, with fries. Yum. Then after a long day of riding I selected a hotel next to Cattlemen’s for a steak and glass of wine. That was well deserved.

Tomorrow is my final leg to Bend, then back to work.
