Bay Area

Today was a long day! We left Bend at 8am and fought snowy conditions all the way to Redding.  It took us nearly four hours just to Klamath Falls. I think we encountered seven 18-wheelers that slid off the road. For lunch we devoured our Subway sandwichs from the Pilot Truck Stop. Once we got south of Redding the roads were easy going all the way to the Bay Area.

We arrived at Tim’s house about 7pm. We loaded his bike - a Ducati Multistrada - in the back of my truck. It was more difficult than I expected to get his bike and my GS to fit!

Our departure tomorrow is 7am. We need to get through Los Angeles before the Friday evening rush hour begins, which I think starts at 2pm. Once in San Diego, we’ll meet up with Brad. Then Saturday we begin our journey into Baja!
