San Diego

Today was a fairly easy day.  We left at 7am from the Bay Area; Tim had a Starbucks coffee waiting for us....yes, Starbucks!  We made it through the Bay Area without any traffic.  We stopped for a quick lunch in Buttonwillow, outside of Bakersfield.  We tried the new Popeye's chicken sandwich!  Okay, not great, but okay - I still prefer Chic-fil-A! My wife, Claudia, is with us until San Diego.  She will fly to meet us in Cabo San Lucas.

We found the LA traffic as we entered Burbank on I-5 around 1:30pm.  It was a little rough all the way into Orange County.  Then smooth sailing until San Diego.  It is a Friday of course.  The last 15 miles was stop and go until we got to our hotel.  Brad was there waiting for us.

Wade is in a campground somewhere in San Diego County.  Brad, Tim and I will meet for in the hotel for breakfast at 7am with kickstands up at 8am.  I'll be driving the truck/trailer to our parking spot at a RV park not far from Tecate.  We hope to make our way across the border by 11am.  Next stop - Ensenada!
