Day 3 - Mon, Jan 20: San Quintin to San Ignacio

We gobbled up some miles today - about 350. It may not sound like a lot, but road speeds are slower here. Kickstands up at sunrise with our first stop at El Rosario to top up gas and eat breakfast. Mama Espinoza’s is quite the place...I chowed on the lobster tacos. Tortillas in Mexico are so delicious - it seems each town has its own tortilleria.

The scenery was stunning.  Ranging from mountains to plateaus to flatlands. All peppered with cactus and interesting cactus-looking trees of various types. The landscape is unexpectedly quite green.

Since the Ducati drinks gasoline, Tim stopped at the roadside Gasolinera in CataviƱa. Time zone changed to Mountain Time once we passed into Baja California Sur. Fish tacos were available for lunch at our roadside stop in Guerrero Negro. Your choice - pescadero o camerones!

Our hotel is in this crazy oasis in the middle of the desert in San Ignacio. The town center is fantastic with an old church at the town square. I ate fresh sea bass, with fresh tortillas, of course!

Tomorrow we’re off to Puerto San Carlos for the night before we head into Los Cabos.
