MX22: Loreto

Did you say hot tortillas for breakfast? Oh, hell yeah. Just around the corner from our hotel was the tortilleria. I bought 10 for 25 pesos - yep, that's about $1. I was a happy camper.

The ride to Loreto included stops in Santa Rosalia and Mulegé. There is a church in Santa Rosalia designed by Gustave Eiffel, same dude as the Eiffel Tower. Mulegé was a lunch stop where my 2 tacos and Topo Chico was 60 pesos! Along the way, views of the Sea of Cortez are really beyond words.

In Loreto we secured another hotel on the beach! We casually walked along the malecón then down to the Historic Mission Loreto, built in 1697. We discussed future trip ideas over dinner and finished the evening with tequila at the park bench overlooking the dark sea.
