Okay, here's the deal. The motorcycles finally got inspected by US Customs, but not without issue. As the bikes were sitting in the airline warehouse, customs officers wanted to see the original titles for the bikes. Guess where they were located - yep, in our luggage inside a sealed crate! Somehow they got the approval regardless.
The bikes are scheduled to arrive Tuesday, and if all goes well, we will depart Wednesday morning. The traffic in Bogotá is pretty crazy. Everyone has recommended that we get our of the city well before 6am - so the plan is to leave very early Wednesday.
We're here for the weekend so we might as well make the best of it. We visited the Catedral de Sal, which is a Roman Catholic church built underground in an abandoned salt mine. Very unique! We also took a walking tour of a few motorcycle dealerships. Of course, we found the BMW Motorrad dealer! Finally Shuli and I found a Chinese restaurant. Shuli was very happy to have his native food and speak Chinese!

Great Pics, does Benelli have a US dealership? - Miles
ReplyDeleteThey do. It’s 502cc with 50HP. But for $7k it’s worth a look!
