Alto Rio Senguer

Today was a short riding day from Esquel to Alto Rio Senguer. We expected a 50km gravel road but it was paved. I did encounter a Guanaco that I narrowly avoided by a couple of meters.  He was fast and big - it would not have ended well if I hit him. These animals are wild natives to the area and closely related to llamas.

We stopped in the small town of Gobernador Costa for a coffee and sandwich.  I had a hamburguesa from the street vendor. It was my first burger of the trip and it hit the spot  we met a young girl traveling north from Ushuaia on a KLR she bought used. She said she had no real plan but thought it would be cool to ride around Patagonia on a motorcycle. Quite impressive!
