I arrived in Santiago about 7pm. Albin and I left Osorno for Los Ángeles before our final leg to Santiago. Albin took me on a side trip to the coast to see the Pacific Ocean. We had a fabulous seafood lunch and then saddled up for the final 4 hours.
Santiago is by far the most advanced capital we've visited (Bogotá, Quito, Lima, La Paz). In fact Chile in general is modern, clean and must like Europe or the US. It was a Friday evening traffic grind, but different than the other cities because Santiago has freeways!
I decided to treat myself to a real hotel - The Renaissance in Santiago next to Parque Arauco. Fancy hotel, delicious food and a comfy bed!
