Damn it was cold today. I left Bend at 11:15am today headed to Redding on my first day towards Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Most of the day was 25F or lower. It wasn’t until after Weed that it started to warm up into the 40’s. I used my Hippo Hands for the first time and they are truly a game changer. I could not have ridden this long, at this temperature, without them.
The lowest temperatures were between Chenault and Chiloquin, but around Klamath Falls it was the most sketchy. Heavy fog and freezing temps made for several puckering moments.
Once in California I was welcomed with premium gasoline at $5.30 / gallon. Oh well, I guess someone has to pay for the good weather.
After a long, hot shower I’m now enjoying a cold IPA.
Saludos
