It was a long 500 mile slog down I-5 and CA-99 from Redding to Bakersfield. Fog blanketed the Central Valley most of the day with only a few glimpses of sunshine or 50+ temps.
I forgot how Californian’s are in such a crazy, mad rush everywhere. After 25 years in CA and 8 years in Bend, I prefer the pace of life in Bend. Oh, and I thought $5.30 / gallon was a lot. Today it was $6.10!
Tomorrow I cross the border and spend the first night in Tecate. Now…I’ll watch the Oregon v Washington game and enjoy a beer. Salud
