I pointed south down Mex-5 with the Sea of Cortez to my left. These views are just spectacular. Clear blue skies with temps in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s.
Mex-5 eventually connects with Mex-1 as I continue down the peninsula. The strange cactus look like pictures from a Dr Seuss book. Especially the cirios with its tall slender stalk and tilted over at the top.
After the turn off to Bahía de Los Ángeles the road got rough until Jesús María. This tight stretch of highway is littered with potholes over potholes. Some stretches required slow speeds as the 18-wheelers pass going north.
I ended the day in Guerrero Negro. I planned a maintenance stop at a new shop in town, Baja ADV Moto. A dinner recommendation lead me to Ostrica Sea Food. Two beers and more food than I could eat for $16.
