Day 10 - Mon, Jan 27: Loreto to Guerrero Negro

A slow start to the day was in order today. After breakfast we walked around the town of Loreto and then rode out to the beach. We were in search of that perfect beach picture!

The first part of the ride up through MulegĂ© and Santa Rosalia was spectacular. The views of the various bays along the Sea of Cortez made it difficult to focus on the road. I’d like to come back and camp on one of these beaches. MulegĂ© was an interesting town; we stopped here for lunch.

Beyond Santa Rosalia the road straightened out to Guerrero Negro. Wild flowers painted the roadway with purple and yellow with fields of cacti and mountains on the horizon. Quite unexpected I must say.

Once in Guerrero Negro we unpacked and met for a beverage at the hotel bar. All three of us chose the carne asada - surprisingly delicious!

Tomorrow we are off to Coco’s Corner and then San Felipe.
